Process, page 5

It's now July of 2002. I believe the Process show started around January of this year. Below is a panorama of my studio as it is today. We're in the middle of a renovation here so all of our posessions are stuffed into about half of our house. We're sleeping in our study. We're lucky to have a study.

A couple of things to mention:

You might notice the dark pink shape at the right of the photo. That is the piece on the introductory page to this show. It's been about a year and the piece still isn't finished. For all you non-artists out there, that can happen. It's completely normal. You can also see a new large painting that I've just started in the corner. I'll put a detail from it farther down the page.

You might also wonder how I can 1) get anywhere near my pieces and 2) get any work done.

In answer to number 1, there's a path about a foot wide from the door to the far corner of the room where the painting is.

There's also a four foot by three foot area of floor behind my worktable that I can stand in.

For number two all I can say is that when you were put on this earth to make things you find a way to do so whether you want to or not. Fortunately nowdays I want to.

Here's that detail of the new large painting:

And here's a canvas I just finished. I might decide to combine it with some other pieces if I think they all work better that way. Then this would become part of a multi-canvas piece like "Cloudy Day/Sunny Day" on the previous page. Otherwise this is it. This image is clickable.

It's about 6"x8"
